The Joy of Colour
Do you enjoy colour and want to learn how to pick a vivid but balanced colour palette and transform your landscapes into little bundles of beautiful colour explosion?
In this course I will help you to navigate within the endless world of colour. Picking a vivid colour isn't difficult, but what comes next is pivotal in creating a harmonious and alluring colour palette...
Creative Warm UP
Just like your body needs a warm up before you can lift heavy weights, in the same manner your mind needs to be warmed up before slapping some colour on to the paper.
This part is as important if not even more important than the final painting. This is the time to experiment and let go of any kind of preconception.
Colour Wheels
By segregating colours inside a colour wheel it helps to organise the colours and analyse a potential or an existing colour palette.
It also proves useful when setting in stone the colour palette for the next painting or illustration. When you organise the colours ahead of time you eliminate indecision and gain more confidence in using bold colours.
Contrast & Detail
After exploring colour and playing with watercolour, we will move to the final and crucial step.
Just like embellished fabric gains superior character and interesting textures, so do the coloured pencils. Coloured pencils play a significant role in pulling everything together. No longer is the painting flat, it becomes alive. And that's where the magic begins!
